Course Contents:
UNIT 1: INTRODUCTION TO EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY:
a. Nature, scope & relevance of Educational Psychology
b. Contributions of psychology to Education, Role of play in Education, Role of a teacher
UNIT 2: EFFECTIVE TEACHING, CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT & SPECIAL EDCUCATION:
a. Characteristics of Effective Teachers; Teaching Methods & Issues related to Technological Advances
c. Classroom Management and Assessment; Intelligence and Creativity; AI and education; Inclusive Education: Dealing with classroom diversity: Nature, concept, and importance; Classroom diversity: Gender, Disability
d. Exceptionality: Concept, Categories and Role of teachers towards the learners with special needs
Practicum:
Students are expected to know the underlying theoretical construct, be able to conduct the practicum and justify the method used.
