Course Objective: To discuss about drama in literature. To explain and describe the components of the dramatic form: plot, character, theme, diction, rhythm and spectacle. To discuss the relation between literature and drama. To explain the Kudmali drama literature and their relevancy in society.
Learning Outcome: After completion of the course, the students will learn to Know about the drama literature and its importance. Identify and describe the components of the dramatic form: plot, character, theme, diction, rhythm and spectacle. Understand and analyze the relation between literature and drama. Know Kudmali drama literature and their relevancy in society.

Definition of drama, characteristics of drama, types of drama, trends of drama. Kudmali dramas and their importance in society. The following dramas are to be taught.
1. ‘Mayek Hanthe Betik Jibon’ by Shaktipada Mahato, West Bengal Kudmali Academy
2. ‘Jiant Bhagaban’ from Piaas by Dr. Sanat Kumar Kaduar, Pananath Kaduar, Kabitika, 2022
