Course Objective: • To enable the students to read, analyse and appreciate poetry and drama of 17th and 18th century • To sensitize them to the verbal and visual language of drama • To enhance students awareness in the aesthetics of poetry and to empower them to read, appreciate and critically evaluate poetry independently • To encourage students to make a detailed study of a few sample masterpieces of English poetry and drama of this period
Learning Outcome: On completion of the Course, the students should be able to • identify the various forms and schools of poetry and drama • analyse and appreciate poetry and drama • write critically about and engage actively in producing / performing drama
