Course Objective: To acquaint with the basic concept of aeromicrobiology and water microbiology along with microbiological analysis of air and water.

Learning Outcome: Upon successful completion of the course the candidate will be able to- 1. Understand the concept of bioaerosols, disease causing air-borne microorganisms and its impact on human health. 2. Know aboutthe different kinds of water borne pathogens and water borne diseases. 3. Learn the different techniques used for microbiological analysis of air like bioaerosol sampling, culture media for bacteria and fungi characterisation and for water analysis like MPN test, membrane filter technique. 4. Learn the different control measures against bioaerosols and water borne pathogens.
